The image of evil is something moving becoming fixed.
I can feel fear or life moving through me. It comes without permission. Images come into my mind, my dreams, my meditation. I do not always ask for them. They come.
They take shape, but they are not life itself.
Spirit is life itself. We have different names for it, but it is life. It takes form, speaks, communicates, and passes.
It is telling you something.
Fear communicates, as love communicates. Neither is separate from life.
It is judgment that makes the temporary certain.
The ego loves certainty.
Where is this going?
What does this mean?
Do or die.
We want to know. We want safety. We want something to hold still long enough to name it.
But humility brings us to silence.
And what is not known cannot be taunted.
It cannot be provoked into an identity.
It cannot be made into an enemy.
We do not move.
It moves.
Fear moves.
Love moves.
Thought moves.
Images move.
We remain.
This is courage. Not the absence of fear, but the absence of attachment to what fear appears to be.
From this courage, we are free to act. We are free to fight. We are free to love. We are free to do anything.
But the moment we attach ourselves to the movement, we risk losing ourselves in it.
Stop looking outside yourself for the spirit of fear.
It exists in you.
And when you become humble before it, it has no power over you.
Not because you defeated it.
Because you stopped making it something it was never meant to be.
The image is not the life.
What moves is not what remains.
Let it move.
Be silent.
We do not move.
It moves.
