The Experience of You Is Not the Real You

People who put life outside of themselves are controlled by it.

They say things like, “She made me do it.”

“The devil made me do it.”

“God made me do it.”

And so forth.

And they are not entirely wrong.

Love is all there is.

Spirit.

Manna.

Energy.

It has many names.

And it is happening in this world just as much as it is happening within ourselves.

For the person who is willing to let go of this self, this particular life, there is freedom.

But this becomes difficult when you are constantly placing life outside of yourself and blaming what you see.

That keeps you stuck in a room of mind.

An experience of self.

And an experience of self is not the same thing as God.

God is courage.

God is clarity.

Spirit is love.

Allowance.

Protection.

Hope.

It is all of these things.

But they are things for you to experience, not necessarily things for you to become.

You do not have to become courage.

You experience courage.

You do not have to become love.

You experience love.

You do not have to become God.

You experience God.

And this is the freedom:

To stop making every experience into an identity.

To stop saying, “This is who I am,” when what you really mean is, “This is what I am experiencing.”

The experience moves.

The self tries to hold it still.

But life does not hold still.

Spirit does not hold still.

And neither do you.
