Meeting Yourself in Another: The Impact of the Twin Flame

The twin flame is a phenomenon spoken about in spirit, or perhaps in time.

Time happening inside time.

Not the past happening again, but eternality expressing itself as two seemingly separate things.

Whenever we meet someone who causes a significant reaction in us, we are said to be meeting our twin.

It does not matter whether the experience is harsh, negative, cruel, beautiful, or loving. What matters is the intensity. Something in us recognizes something in them, and these relationships often become the hardest to break because there is something in us that is desperate to learn.

You know who these people are in your life.

There is something incredibly familiar about them. You may finish one another’s sentences. You may feel connected without speaking for years. You may meet them again after decades and discover that something never actually stopped moving between you.

We call this extraordinary.

But perhaps it isn’t extraordinary at all.

Perhaps it is what happens when we understand that we are not finite.

We are walking through a field of time that keeps presenting the same lessons until we no longer need them in the way we once did.

We walk through time, walking through a field of infinite consciousness, picking things up and sometimes forgetting to put them back down.

So we learn.

We let go.

We forgive.

And eventually, we honor the twin.

The twin is not a broken-off part of ourselves.

It is ourselves, appearing as another.

The twin was never separate.

Only appearing so.
