What Happens When Humans Attempt to Make God Human

When humans attempt to pull God into humanity and make it stay, God inevitably becomes what we call human: a collection of thoughts, experiences, meanings, and interpretations gathered into a body that appears real.

Add some finesse, a few distinctions here and there, and that is essentially what a human is—one who experiences life and gives it meaning.

This is good.
This is bad.
This is essential.
This is not.

In truth, nothing is happening but the power of power itself.

God.

Truth—a boldness that does not seek definition or even experience because it does not need to.

Whenever humans get hold of life, we make meaning out of it. And then it only takes one person to say, This is the meaning of this. Follow me, and I will give you more information about this thing to which I have declared meaning.

And because humans inevitably reach a manifestation of ego, we must divide.

Losers and winners.
Good and bad.
Evil and righteous.
Us and them.

Blah, blah, blah.

To spirit, none of this means anything.

It is simply noise.

Because it is life appearing in all forms—in all humans, in all things.

So how do we let go of meaning? How do we let go of the self?

First, we admit that we have one.

Then we begin to see that what many people refer to as God may simply be the self talking to itself—the flesh becoming its own image.

And then we praise this image.

We admonish this image.

We worship it.

We fear it.

We build institutions around it.

But that is not God.

Because to make God into an image is to limit what cannot be limited.

And so perhaps the only solution to the crisis we face in humanity is not to create a better image of God, but to live the life of Jesus.

Not the Jesus on the cross, because that fixates him to time.

But the life of Jesus as the life of life itself.

The life you are hearing.

The life you are seeing.

The life you keep calling other.

Live that life.

Love that life.

Or you could just be God.

Dwell in God, as God—the expression of all life.

Which is much easier.
