God Is Easy, Resistance is Hard

God is easy.

Resistance is hard.

Love is the presence of life itself.

It is what unites us as one being.

What I say about you comes through consciousness.

If I make what I hold evil, and convince you that it is evil, I can also declare myself the one who must save you from it or eradicate the very thing I have decided is evil.

But this is not possible.

I cannot eradicate the possibility of life forming into something like hate.

It just does.

I can remove hate from myself by becoming aware of its presence and remaining steady as it passes through me, but I cannot eliminate the possibility of hate being formed inside consciousness.

Even if I teach my son, and through him his sons, and so on, to love what I call hate, that does not mean someone in my bloodline will not eventually pick it up again and one day many years down the road declare it evil or good.

I have no control over that.

The law of nature must be expressed.

And because it will also be interpreted and assigned meaning, I have no control over that either.

What I can do is make room for me, and for whatever passes through me.

Consciousness itself is easy.

Our resistance to it is hard.

And that gives us a clue as to where we are in our relationship to life itself, and to what is passing through, not hanging on.

The moment we want to abandon ourselves for something “better,” we can remain just a little longer.

We can remain.

We can watch.

And we can allow consciousness to do what it knows how to do better than any human: to purify itself, without any of us ever lifting a finger.
