People love politics.

Don’t let anyone fool you into believing they don’t.

We love being seen, needed, chosen, and right. We love belonging. We love having a side.

It is human nature.

But it is not nature itself.

Nature is movement.

Flow.

Timelessness.

Politics and religion can pull us away from that movement by turning life into identity.

Politics says, Choose a side.

Religion can say, Choose who is right.

Then the mind does what it does:

It judges.

It divides.

It defends.

It creates an enemy.

The political opponent becomes the problem.

The religious outsider becomes the sinner.

And we stop seeing people. We see labels.

What began as a search for truth becomes a fight over who possesses it.

What began as a search for God becomes a fight over who speaks for Him.

But God does not belong to a side.

Love does not belong to a religion.

Truth does not need an enemy.

Justice does not heal.

Justice acknowledges.

Justice returns.

Healing belongs to love.

And love requires neutrality.

Not apathy.

Not weakness.

Neutrality is freedom from attachment.

The heart cannot remain pure while possessed by hatred, worship, praise, condemnation, politics, or religious identity.

The moment the heart takes a side, it becomes attached.

Attachment creates defense.

Defense creates judgment.

Judgment obscures what is beneath it all.

So let people love you.

Let people hate you.

Let politics rise and fall.

Let religious identities come and go.

They are forms.

They are temporary.

The movement beneath them is not.

Do not mistake the form for the life.

Do not mistake the argument for the truth.

Do not mistake the identity for God.

Remain neutral.

Remain clear.

Remain in love.

What is pure does not need a side.
