Walking with yourself is walking with an image created by your mind.
It is your experience. Your life. And it matters.
It matters to this world because it was already here. The life you have lived, the moments you have encountered, the joys and sorrows you have known, were already held within consciousness, held within life itself. They are not separate from you.
The moment you stop searching for a savior, this revelation begins to become clear.
Jesus Christ is not only a savior to be looked toward; Christ is a lived experience, a realization of the life already present within you. This is true of everything we seek outside ourselves. Another person, the love they offer, the comfort they provide, all of it is precious, but all of it is temporary. Everything that appears in form changes.
So we turn toward what does not leave.
We return to our own experience, not as something to escape, but as something to fully inhabit. We ground ourselves in a love that cannot abandon us because it was never separate from us. No matter how far we wander, no matter how little we understand, it remains. It allows us to have our experiences exactly as they are.
You do not need to make an elephant into a lion.
You do not need to force your experience to become something other than what it is.
Naming things as they are becomes liberating when what is seen is recognized as part of the Self. But when we believe life exists outside of us, everything becomes a problem to fix, a person to rescue, a world to repair.
And the search continues.
Yet all of this has already been done.
Life was here before you were here, offering itself to you through every experience, every relationship, every moment of beauty and difficulty. It offers itself not so that you can perfect being human, but so that you can experience the wonder of being human.
The joy. The sorrow. The uncertainty. The imperfection. The chaos.
All of it belongs.
All of it is held.
All of it is life, knowing itself through you.
