When we are offended, when our feelings are hurt, when anger rises within us, something has been revealed.
It doesn’t matter whether it was your enemy, your friend, your spouse, the television, or the internet that brought it forward. The source is secondary.
What matters is that something within you has come alive.
Our first instinct is to call it wrong. Evil. To make someone else the villain. This is the moment we begin to divide the world into opposites: monster and purity, hypocrisy and saint, us and them.
Yet these are not separate realities.
They are consciousness revealing itself through one body.
You.
Me.
All of us.
What has surfaced is asking to be seen, to be known. You are meant to know it. You are meant to claim it, to hold it for as long as you need to. You have been given the freedom to experience whatever arises within you.
We are all living the lives we continue choosing, even when we insist we are not. Even those who complain about never getting what they want are often protecting the very identities they cannot imagine living without.
When our attention is fixed on the outer world—on changing people, changing circumstances, or searching for an outer God—we lose sight of the place where life is actually happening.
We stop seeing ourselves clearly.
The disdain we hold for things in our world is often a reflection of our own thoughts, experiences, and feelings.
Take anything that truly disturbs you, no matter how insignificant it may seem. Instead of studying the thing itself, become curious about the one experiencing it.
Feel it fully.
Argue with it if you must.
Cry.
Resist.
Do whatever honestly arises.
But eventually, notice that the argument itself is what keeps you from freedom.
The same is true of worship.
To hate something is to become bound to it. To worship something is to become equally bound.
Freedom asks for neither.
Freedom simply looks.
Without analyzing.
Without defending.
Without condemning.
Without turning the experience into an identity.
You do not stop being yourself.
You become more completely yourself.
And in becoming yourself, you discover peace was never something to acquire.
It was what remained when you stopped resisting what had already arisen.
You were created to be no one else.
No other version of you exists in this moment.
This life is passing through you with astonishing speed.
Know it.
Experience it.
Possess it fully.
Don’t miss it.
Don’t miss the opportunity to be exactly who you are.
Fully alive. Fully known.
