Love is the life we live.
Love is the path we walk.
When this becomes more than an idea, you begin to see there has never been another path. Every joy, every sorrow, every betrayal, every reunion, every silence has been leading you toward the same discovery.
Human love often begins with need.
I need you to stay so I do not feel abandoned.
I need you to understand me so I do not feel alone.
I need you to choose me so I can believe I am enough.
There is nothing wrong with these longings. They belong to our humanity. They are how we first learn to reach for one another.
But Love itself has no need.
It does not need you to become someone else.
It does not ask you to change.
It does not demand perfection before it will receive you.
It meets you exactly where you are.
It walks beside you exactly as you are.
And because it asks nothing of you, everything begins to change.
This is the mystery.
The moment you stop trying to become worthy of Love, Love begins revealing the worth that was already there.
It does not transform you by force.
It transforms you through presence.
As you become still…
As you become present…
As you stop arguing with life in all its faces and all its forms…
Love quietly accomplishes what striving never could.
Without command, your anger softens.
Without coercion, your guilt becomes understanding.
Without pretending the wound never existed, forgiveness begins to grow where resentment once lived.
Love does not teach you to escape your humanity.
It teaches you to walk with it.
To walk with abandonment without becoming abandoned.
To walk with grief without becoming grief.
To walk with fear without allowing fear to become your identity.
To walk with joy without needing to possess it.
Love is not another destination waiting at the end of the journey.
It is the ground beneath every step you have ever taken.
There comes a moment when the soul finally whispers,
“I cannot do this alone.”
And the answer has always been waiting.
The calvalry has always been waiting.
Not because Love has finally arrived.
But because Love never left.
